A second Town Square is Sumter Landing Market Square. Sumter will remind you of a Seaside Village. You will find a great number of shops and many restaurants. Take a boat ride on Lake Sumter and view the gorgeous sunsets over the water. Again, music every night on this Square.

Residents fill both Squares to participate in or view the parades and parties including Octoberfest, Cinco De Mayo, St. Patrick's Day and Mardi Gras.

The Villages is a wonderful Golf Course community with FREE GOLF FOR LIFE on all the Executive courses. There are twenty two Executive courses with more coming.

Nine Championship courses await you including Orange Blossom Hills, Tierra Del Sol, Hacienda Hills, Glenview Champions, The Nancy Lopez Legacy, Palmer Legends, Cane Garden, Mallory Hill and Havana. All residents enjoy FREE Country Club Membership. Enhancements to your membership are available. Most notable Clubs are the Nancy Lopez Legacy and the Arnold Palmer Legends.

Not a golfer? Everything else is here in areas of sports, music, arts and crafts, exercise, dance, social clubs and special interest groups.

Extra excitement comes with the Polo Club which hosts local as well as International Polo competition. Membership is available to residents and matches are open to the public. Many residents enjoy tailgate parties before the events.

There are currently twenty eight adult pools, six sports pools, and fourteen family pools. Every activity you could dream about is available at the seven Regional recreation centers, seventeen Village recreation centers, nine softball fields, and nine parks.

Grandchildren love The Villages and riding in the golf cars. Many activities are offered during the Holidays, Spring Break and the Summer for the young ones to enjoy with you.
